Am now looking for something in Tokyo for the fall, but don't see anything appealing. Hotel prices being what they are, some of those mini-rooms may become more appealing.
I looked for rental space in Tokyo, seeking somewhere as central as possible, and found it was difficult to come up with anything I liked. In the end I booked an apartment at Court Annex in Roppongi. Minimum let is one week and it turned out to be a real find. We stayed there for a second visit with friends who took a studio as a second bedroom and we used our living room and separate bedroom as our base. Search on Asahi Homes, Court Annex
