Great TR and congrats on the anniversary! Well it seems that we may make the requisite Baltimore pilgrimage to Aman Bali, as well as several Aman resorts in the area next summer.
We're now officially Amanjunkies, despite having never been to an Aman yet simply by virtue of our bookings. Our first will be Amanbagh over Diwali, followed by a trip to Kora/Sara/Taka and then something like 5-10 Amans next summer.
Baltimore/DC should do a meet-up in Playa Grande since we have a direct flight. This is despite the fact that FDW lives three houses down from me and Farbster and I have kids at the same school!
I'll be soliciting lots of tips on this board about Bali in the next several months.
You will have a beautiful experience traveling around Indochina in the Aman resorts. Sara is maybe one of the smallest but with an incredible team making the property so special with a great atmosphere and sensational tailored made excursions. Amantaka in luang Prabang is really relaxing with a lovely architecture and an incredible sense of space for an resort located in the middle of this splendid town. Both properties are just great but may I suggest you to try Amanoi which is simply breathtaking with amazing views and maybe one of the most lovely design. Truly love the Pavilions at Amanoi and Sean, one of the nicest Aman GM is taking care of this Aman.
Amanbagh has many stunning reports so don't hesitate to share. I've never been there but a couple of friends who have been to Bagh a few years ago told me it was more than perfect...
