Lan Chile founds Lan Ecuador
(FVW) Lan Chile founds Lan Ecuador. The new airline applies for the rights to fly from Quito and Guayaquil to Madrid, Buenos Aires, Miami, New York and Santiago. The planned start will be 01.12.2002.

Lan Ecuador is the second foreign carrier founded by Chilean carrier Lan Chile. Lan Chile also founded Lan Peru.
