Cheap(er) way to TNR?

I'm looking at various options to get to TNR, ideally from the African continent. Interesting nonstop flights I see are via SA Airlink and Air Madagascar from JNB, and Kenyan Airways from NBO.

The fares I find in usual places like matrix, kayak, airline web sites etc. are all very high, given that these are pretty short flights. For example JNB-TNR seems to never go below something like 500 EUR, and usually runs at 700-800 EUR. Kenyan Airways' flight NBO-TNR is 1000 EUR+ all September.

Am I missing something? Or does anyone have hints where to find more reasonable (to me...) prices?
