I called MX the night before my 7am departure out of LAX. I wanted to know if it was really necessary to be at the airport two hours in advance. The agent tells me that all pax must be there three hours in advance. So I asked, "Is MX even open at 4am?"

The agent said, "We never close at LAX."

"Can you verify that." A few moments on hold.

"OK, we open at 5, but you still need to be there at 4."

Huh?
