This has been my experience. I wouldn't assume, but usually I'm invited to enjoy the lounge breakfast, just the same as Asian hotels tend to let me use the lounge in the evening after I've checked out if I have a late flight. (In the USA, I just wouldn't do this even if I's still on the premises when the evening snacks and appetizers appear.)
