The blue dots stop at the eastern entrance to the Excel centre - the light grey dots just seem to be Google Maps linking the walking route to what it regards as the centrepoint of the exhibition centre. Excel (or rather ExCel, as they like to capitalise it - for
Exhibition Centre London) is a big space.
