So I'll be in NYC over the 4th July Weekend (Thursday to following Wednesday)

Other than the fire works what else will be on? A parade? concerts?

Will museums and shops be open?

What about the MTA and LIRR? Normal or reduced or enhanced service?

I'm going to assume that bars and restaurants will be open as normal but maybe busier than normal.


Note - I'm not looking for advice re normal tourist things to do.
