Loved Tiawan, 4 nights was not enough

Just got back from a week long trip to Asia, where I spent 4 nights in Taipei. I must say Tiawan is now on top of list for places I'd like to visit again.

I spend 1 full day in Taipei, a day trip to Taroko National Park, and split another day between the villages of Wulai and Juifen. Loved every minute of it.

I did everything on my own without the help of tour agencies and found it east to get around with train, bus, and MRT. If I ever got stuck, the people were very helpful and friendly.

Taroko is like nothing I've ever seen, it's hard to describe the awe struck feeling you get whilst hiking along the trails and scenic walks.

Juifen was a bit touristy but still charming and a different pace from Taipei. The views from the teahouses were great too.

Wulai was a great experience as I swam in the river and riverside hot springs with local people, enjoyed some rice in bamboo and wild boar.

Taipei...I fell in live with the place. The street food is to die for, food in general is cheap and delicious. It has a charm like no other...sort of like a mix between laid back SE Asian towns like Luang Praboung with the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong or Tokyo. Such a rich fusion of cultures as well. Will definitely head back soon. I encourage others to do so as well.
