But why not in their new product follow air New Zealand and give us an improved classic pod with a mattress. FA said others had commented similarity that the open classic pod was better. Other aspects were great but it's the bed that counts.
Bingo. Just flew 787 from YYZ-NRT yesterday. Only one open J seat left. The pod is excellent while sitting up or lazy boy mode, specially the large screen. Lighting, humidity are much improved. However the two issues I felt - the seat was hard, almost felt like adding a pillow and while in sleep mode, the feet end of the pod tapers so if you sleep on your side like I do, you knees knock the side. End result I did not sleep as well as I was expecting too perhaps I should have followed SAP's medication method of knocking back a few drinks first. On the plus side, the food seems to have improved and the service was great, thanks to SD Luis (?) and crew. I did get a opup on the ANA NRT-TPE route too so feel free to rub my head for luck
