It seems like airtran could have pulled some people from southern/western parts of the detroit area -- particularly those parts of washtenaw county along US23 such as the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. However, I don't think most people in this area ever really considered doing so (though when I lived in AA i thought about going to TOL for some cheap fares, but never found any that justified it). AirTran could have easily advertised in this market, but didn't -- perhaps their own stupdity.
