What airport/city hasn't tried to lure WN? There probably aren't many out there that can honestly say they haven't tried to convince WN to give their market a try.

If FL wasn't making money, then hats off to them for leaving. They are a business just like any other and need to make money, but make no mistake, they actually do carry their fair share of business travelers throughout their system. I believe I've read that about 40% of their tickets are business/full-fare. Guess they weren't getting any business travelers whatsoever from TOL, even though I am sure their very existence drove down the average fares for all travelers from TOL.

That's the real shame in this, that the travelers continue choosing the other airlines even though if not for that low-cost carrier, the more affordable fare structures would not exist. Bet DL cannot wait for April 28 to get here, so they can jack up the TOL air fares once again. Actually, they've probably already done it.
