Per the above, I have done exactly your scenario this week and my company are happy enough as it costs no more, you will likely find though the TA will apply a charge for applying these GUF'S, I paid $HKD500 per ticket, which is about GBP40.
I have enquired previously about splitting a GUF2, and the answer was a firm no!
