I've only used AA miles for Hilton Hotels. I've never gotten credit for nights stayed, I've never been able to get reservation to show on hilton.com.
I'm gold via my amex hilton card so I get any of the perks from being gold.
[Even if the nights did credit I don't stay enough to make diamond.
