Have you looked for the current version of the rules on the CC website? Looked through your email, including trash, for messages from CC announcing this change? Or called their customer service number to ask about the rule, although you should be aware that many phone agents just make up stuff when they don't know the answer.

I would expect the CC website to be up to date on such rules and policies and assume it to be definitive.
