There are LOTS of nearby hotels with literally thousands of rooms, but of course Minecraft could well have crowded it out.

The Hilton at Canary Wharf is decent. There is also a Marriott - both are 30 seconds walk from DLR stations. There is a Four Seasons too which is cheap at weekends.

With IHG, the Indigo Tower Hill or, with Hilton, the Doubletree at Tower Bridge are both a very short walk to Tower Hill DLR station.
