Anyways, my main question is, now that I really don't need the tier points for my BAEC, its about the miles/avios. I have never used the AAdvantage though I have registered for it.

Is it wise to use my AAdvantage number, ie, would I gain enough miles for any kind of upgrade in the future? Or is it wise to leave my BAEC number and get the 50% bonus on the miles and redeem the whole lot of avios later?

This whole trip is in economy class. BAEC would give me 80 tier points and a little more than 6000 avios.
