It will give you updates even before CX receives the info, and gate numbers as well as arriving info before anyone else does.
I just put all my Amadeus bookings (eg CX, BA, SQ etc) on this and it updates automatically.
For Sabre, I use Tripcase. Even if I booked through CX, I just add an informational segment to Tripcase and it still gives me updated information right up to the minute. My recent BA flight was an example. At LHR T5, TV screens still said 250pm departure time to AMS whereas on Tripcase I was alerted at 2pm that the flight would be delayed by 6 mins to 256pm. Of course this was not updated with BAA till 230pm that the flight is delayed.
