My friend and I are buying one way tickets to Bangkok from San Francisco in early November. We are looking into Singapore & EVA Airlines. My friend says Singapore is WAY better and is willing to spend more to be more comfortable on Singapore; however, the difference is $100 and EVA flight is also 4 hours shorter. 19 hrs vs 23 hrs.
I have never flown on these airlines and wanted to know others opinions. Is Singapore worth an extra $100 and 4 hrs more of travel time?
Or any other airlines that you would recommend?
Thank you!!
Welcome to FT.
Are you talking about Economy or Business?
If economy, my view is the differences are "minor", they will add up after flying maybe 10-15 hours, but I want to get there as fast as possible if I were flying.
Either way, I will feel like tenderized meat when I arrive no matter what airline it is.
What would help is if you let us know what it is you value in a flight experience. Or what are you willing to pay $100 more for.
Is an extra inch of recline?
Better food?
Good IFE selection?
etc
These are all subjective matter and paying an extra $100 for me and what I deem is important is likely very different from what you deem is important (as I demonstrated above with my views vs your friend's).
BTW it is against the rules to post the same question on multiple boards!
