I assume you're exaggerating these actions/reactions and you're looking for a bigger payout.
Scrubbing belongings = washing clothes we laid on the bedding/luggage that was on the bedding. I don't understand how that would be considered outrageous.
We've had issues with grungy rooms and unsavory stays in this hotel brand before, and my wife's had enough, so... no "lower end" Starwood hotels in our future (fine by me).
