The 242t DL A330s will be a fantastic airplane both from a passenger and economic standpoint. An excellent choice.

OTOH, it is confirmed that AA is going to 3-4-3 in MCE on all 772s, and those which were converted to 3-3-3 in MCE will be retrofit. It appears that only the 77W will have 3-3-3 in MCE, and who knows if that will stick around in the long term at Doug Parker's AA.

They do, and it's coming with the 77W. You can take that to the bank. UA apparently isn't seeing a book-away factor on the 787 or 747 despite the narrow seats, so in their view, anything else would be leaving money on the table. Sad reality of the business in 2015.
