I have been notified in the past, but it is not consistent for some reason. I check all my bookings once a week for changes with AA and BA, and it is all not helped as i tend to book months in advance as my travel dates are known. I have no idea how infrequent flyers get on, there must be some surprises at airports.
Same here. AA have made multiple changes to AA/US sectors of some BA/AA/US bookings I made via AA.com, and haven't notified me about any of them. Luckily I was monitoring them, thanks to what I've read about this on FT. The latest joyous news was the complete disappearance of one sector in the middle of a trip, which took me about an hour on the phone to AA to get them to rebook. I check these bookings regularly with a feeling of dread for what will come next. I really must get the Myflights app...
