No argument from me that it's subpar at EWR/IAH, but crowds at check-in, security and the lounges are not unusual elsewhere.
The J expirence for all but GS does suck at SFO/ORD/IAD, you're right. But people that repeatedly buy J (most GS fall into that bucket) from those airports are likely flying GF most of the time. Remove GF and the other intl carriers at those airports start looking much better when comparing J to J rather than J to F.
