some may charge for something like $15-$20/day for "primary liability coverage" that gives you up to the state mandatory minimum (which provides $15k body/ $5k property.. which is nothing). Then it's another $15ish to bring that up to a million.


I just got myself a liability only insurance that gets kicked in whenever I drive a car that's not registered to my name (incl rental, friend's car etc) - which costs around $200 for 100/300/100 coverage.
