This is what I was asking about, and good to know, thanks! The dreaded part was for not being able to do OLCI. The actual TSA experience was fine, just an extra pat down, really not much slower than me going through PRE.

We are both GE and based on what the TSA agent said, the SSSS should be very infrequent so I won't be buying EBCI unless one of us is flying alone or it's a long flight. We don't care if we sit together, more about getting overhead space for the one shared carry-on we usually have. Which we can check if we really need to.

I have seen on other threads (Travel Security) that people are getting the SSSS for multiple flights back-to-back if they've been to certain countries including Turkey. Just good to know to be prepared for it.
