Reissuing the ticket could mean a refund to the original form of payment, namely the employer's DL account or employer's credit card. OP doesn't want to then pay for an entire new ticket with his/her own credit card.
Reissue ticket does not necessarily mean cancel and refund. Just like when I need to change a flight and have to pay additional fare. There is just the additional charge and not a refund for what was paid previously paid followed by a charge of the full new fare.
In both cases tickets are "reissued"
