I did so a couple of weeks ago, after getting approved. Sent them a SM as soon as the new card showed up on my Chase profile (which was almost instantly). They approved it the next day and my card didn't even arrive until a week or so after.
Already met the $1000 spend but my statement doesn't close for 3 weeks
