UA flights to EWR/ORD were scheduled for 10-11am departures, and were delayed due to the malfunction. But in contrast to AC, they departed just past 2pm after services were restored. The question is why AC decided to delay until 11:30pm, instead of leaving right after flights resumed, like UA973 for example did?
