It'll be interesting to see if BA or EI start TATLs from BFS; there's a potential catchment across the North, though a great deal of Irish TATL traffic is, I assume, family related. The demographics of the North might preclude this. However there is zero APD on long haul flights which fly direct from Northern Ireland.
Other options are a feeder service LDY-DUB using ATRs. LDY and the west has a larger Irish catchment.
Overall, a positive move, even if we have to forgo dirt cheap DUB fares.
