We recently had EBCI and GF got SSSS. We still had A17-A18. It was a returning International so we knew we couldn't print BPs anyway.

She got a little more attention at checkpoint and again a hand search of her bag the gate. Mexico security is a little different than TSA.

IMO Not a big deal unless you are running late and further delayed by security. EBCI still works.

TSA is pushing a lot of non PRE through the PRE lanes via randomizer or TSO choice to speed things up. I suspect we'll see more random SSSS as a way of preventing that. More people are getting PRE treatment than ever before so it's a minor inconvenience.
