"Dreaded"? I'm GE and get PC 100% of the time. Every now and then (single-digit %, I'd imagine), post-WMD I'm told I'm up for additional screening. I get a palms-out pat down and a hand swab and after that passes, I'm on my way. Unless you're getting something else, I don't get the big deal?

(ETA: NVM; I just saw that non-A-list doesn't get to get a BP until you're actually at the airport.)
