We had an itinerary on DL that had to be cancelled in late 2014 because of illness. The agent extended the tix validity to the one-year anniversary of the original purchase date. So far, so good. Now it appears that other obligations (including surgical complications) make it "impossible" to fly DL by the end of that "year", (which is actually this coming July). However, we are planning a trip this coming Fall for which the DL route/schedules would be appropriate. Bottom line question: would DL allow booking that itinerary *now* while the tix is "valid", but the flight date is, say, in Sept/Oct. Or might DL re-extend validity because of extenuating circumstances? Would appreciate comments from anyone with a similar experience.
