Professional, Responsibility, Safety, Revolutionized quality.

4. Black Colour
Reliable, commonality.

5. Bold font for "JAL"
Bold font represents the airline is flying high and strong.

Entire JAL Group will see the new livery from November 2002, with the 1st new livery painted on the 777. 2nd one is DC10 in December.

JALWays, JAA, JEX, JTA will also get a new livery change, but I'm not quite sure what will it look like.
