I live 1 block from a Kroger - so if I'm missing something, i would love to know it lol.
other than the many required spend amounts for signup bonuses, I have concentrated all spend for the last 5 months on my wife's Wells Fargo 5% cashback card. Target was perfect for no load fees on Redbird and it coded as a grocery, but since that ended its been back to gift cards at Kroger for the 5% unlimited rebate from grocery purchases the card provides...heck after 50K they started giving me an extra .75% or something for being a preferred customer. When my wife's 6 month 5% back promo runs out I will get a card in my name with her as the AU and do it for another 6 months, as long as it holds together.

Before getting the WF 5% card, I was using HH surpass for 6X points on grocery purchases which wound up giving me Hilton diamond status and with other HH card sign up bonuses over 600K Hilton points...we used many for all inclusive resort stays at Hilton Rose Hall, Jamaica at 60K a night. So basically I paid $120 in gift card fees, for a nights stay for us, at a nice all inclusive.

You could also use the 1.5% with 1.5% annual cashback bonus Discover IT card to clear $18 per $1000 if you can't get a 5% card or aren't into Hilton.
