Your mileage may vary. I tried three different cards (but all Chase); none worked. Called Chase and they assured me they weren't blocking it at their end. Two years ago, my cards worked fine. A year before that, they didn't.
Last year I had to use RailEurope (ugh!) because it was one of those rare times that I could save a fair amount using a RailPass. RailEurope had no issue, but they're based in the US.
