I think its automatic. If you are G like me I have been upgraded to Elite. Though it is still to show. My wife and i applied for Westpac card last Monday, got our cards on Thursday last week. She got her status updated to Elite on the Tuesday. I am still waiting for my change in status- was told by the call centre that it takes 5 days from the card been approved
