TSA's position is that you can use any BP for any checkpoint. If this was someone other than a badged TSA employee, I would have argued it for sure (and even if it were a TSA employee, I probably would have).
I tried pushing the issue with the "security guard" that was checking at UA and she flat out refused to hear it. It was like talking a the wall that had an attitude and talked back.
It could be different depending on the person working before the checkpoint, however.
