Look I apologize but my point is the OP keeps going on and on about AA at STL, says he/she has moved onto DL yet keeps complaining about the S80s and AA's operations at STL. Yes AA has lost more than MCI, but AA had and still has many more employees and operations in the first place. Other than the overhaul base which was killed in 2010 (after several rounds of cuts leading up) AA hasn't had much at MCI, just the LGA S80 flight that ended circa 2005 and the short lived Eagle service to RDU (go against ExpressJet operated regional flights)
Transition from mainline is bad? IMO the E75s are more comfortable than S80s and generally have good experiences with the Republic operated crews. Can be hit or miss with AA mainline crews especially on short flights from STL. Better for shareholders if costs are lower, and AA can operate with greater frequency most consumers would prefer that. Sure the 200-odd F/As left at STL don't like it nor do the TWU fleet service clerks and AMTs but AA is a business. Their CBAs have provisions in place should fleet get contracted out (like dozens of stations did in 2012) or should the F/A base close (which several also recently did). Not sure what more there is to discuss.
