It was the priority boarding that did it and row 1. EI wanted £110 with a checked bag and a no pre allocated seat. I am not a FR fan and haven't flown them for 3 years or so - I hear things are better than they were...we shall see...
I flew FR a few weeks ago to Malaga. I was in 2C out and 1C back. Didn't like row 1 (A,B,C) at all, the lack of a bulkhead meant that people were queuing right in front of me for the loos. I also felt as though I was on display during boarding as the queues build up at the front whilst locker space is being found further back.
1D,E,F didn't suffer from this and would be my preference next time.
The flight itself was fine, priority boarding worked well, both legs arrived on time and if you can live with the lottery ticket sales and 'in it to win it' spiel then for the price you can't go wrong IMO.
