Same. I don't have the same amount of flying as others, but check-in was absolutely not an issue on code share flights, and I was issued BPs at check in (even if the connecting flight was not during "check-in window").
I've had "issues" with code share flights, but it had nothing to do with seat selection, nor check-in.
I will cross fingers as well then.
