Why do you think you won't be notified of the cashback for "months"? If that's the case, it's certainly a bit problematic.
I use Topcashback a few times a week for various purchases and the notification is usually pretty quick. I have a failure-to-post rate of about 5% with them, but then their customer service ultimately gets me the rebate about 80% of the time. I do think this one is "riskier" than most, though, simply because it's weird.
