There's a Samsonite 30-inch suitcase that is for sale in a local store. It's specified dimensions are 30.5 x 20 x 11, which leads to measuring 61.5 inches, HALF AN INCH under the allowable 62 inches on many airlines! Goodness gracious!

However, when we measure it, it's more like 34 x 21 x 12! Do airlines accept the specifications if shown them or do they prefer to measure suitcases themselves? Maybe we'll be getting a more agreeable Samsonite 29-incher instead.
