I haven't seen them use this configuration intra-Asia, so be aware that NH has a horrible reputation for aircraft swaps. The 2x4x2 coach config is a going away systemwide on 3 cabin 787s, so if it ends up being a 3 class aircraft, it might be 3x3x3 in coach which is brutal for a flight of this length, let alone their SJC/SEA-NRT legs.
Having just flown on a LAN Chile 787 for four hours in the next to last row, there is no way I'd ever fly long haul in a 3-3-3 Y class configuration on any 787. It's brutal.
