I haven't seen them use this configuration intra-Asia, so be aware that NH has a horrible reputation for aircraft swaps. The 2x4x2 coach config is a going away systemwide on 3 cabin 787s, so if it ends up being a 3 class aircraft, it might be 3x3x3 in coach which is brutal for a flight of this length, let alone their SJC/SEA-NRT legs.
NH is using their TPAC 787 with staggered lie-flat J on the new NRT-SIN/BKK routes (NH845/807): read their press release here -

It's a 3-class plane with C/PY/Y and 31" pitch and 3-3-3 in Y (i.e. this configuration:
http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/ANA..._787-800_C.php). Not a fun 7 hours in Y.
