I hope that Mr. Romu will also ease ticketing restrictions. I do not undrestand what good all those "SITI only" restrictions will do for Finnair, but they stick with it very firmly - current NLAHJA fare (HEL-TXL-HEL 124 EUR) can also be ticketed only inside country of origin. And eventually airline simply canīt fill its seats, as ORD Finn pointed out.

sales of the flight to the Southern Finland were dissappointing. Sakari Romu, Finnair's deputy marketing director, was quoted saying something like (very, very free translation) "Even if we gave free tickets we could not make people fly on these short routes."</font>
Maybe Finnair should add more Airbus aircrafts to its domestic fleet. Those old ATR-s are not very appealing, especially in the winter time.

Finnair's own FF program is such a joke that it won't get anyone running though.

I agree. Special offers and campaigns are rare (altough I have heard about targeted offers), discounted economy is discriminated and awards cost too much.
In my dreams I would like to see:
participation in Hilton HHonors Reward Exchange
possibility to earn on Silja Line (ferry company, some cooperation between Finnair and Silja already exists)
non-expiring points
possibility to earn for shopping at Stocmannīs department store
reduced mileage awards for last-minute travel
referral campaigns
any sort of creativity

Finnair Plus has, however, some nice little features I like - chance to earn on AY charter flights for example.

(I understand that some very avid Y-class passenger just spoke thru me )
