I just missed Finnair domestic supersale "Suomi lenton" (r/t flights between HEL-TKU and HEL-TMP, cost 50 EUR). They finished selling on 7/12 (I believe so) and yesterday I realized that taxes were in fact included to that fare (base fare was 22 eur).
Would have been nice mileage run, though.

I read in Helsingin Sanomat that Finnair plans to offer these cheap fares on a constant basis in the near future. They plan to make them available on the flights with lower loads. Decisions have not been made yet, however.
Regarding the campaign they said that the sales of the flights to Oulu and upwards were good, but the sales of the flight to the Southern Finland were dissappointing. Sakari Romu, Finnair's deputy marketing director, was quoted saying something like (very, very free translation) "Even if we gave free tickets we could not make people fly on these short routes."
Do Finns need some education in the blessings of FF programs and mileage runs?? Finnair's own FF program is such a joke that it won't get anyone running though.

(aside: "romu" means something like "crap" in English -- some people AY has working for them, huh?
