I have always thought that without custom clearance also in DUB or SNN (like between canada and USA) that the real value of the INS inspection was not truely valued.
It would be interesting to see (at least on DUB-LAX route) if EI will join Qantas in moving to the INS facility at AA's terminal 4 which is about to open.
Customs at LAX Bradley is a real mess some times with a load of 747's all arriving at the same time.
I know that people hanging around in duty free at DUb and then arriving at Immigration at the last moment with out their custom and Visa Waiver forms filed out does slow down departures.
