I tend to go for a side-aisle (C or H) on the EI LAX route. EI don't pre-assign emergency rows- so you will have to get to the check-in early. The only other thing I would say is keep away from the toilets! On www.aerlingus.com you will find a seat map for the 300-200 under 'about us' and then 'fleet.'
