People that know me know I can be stubborn. (Determined, I like to say).
But FT changed me on this. I was a die-hard-carry-on-the-rules-are-stupid kind of guy. No more. Check your stuff. If it is insured, it will get replaced. I know this may be an issue for a very small % of flyers with expensive musical instruments, or specialized equipment traveling to sketchy areas of the world. But for the vast majority, I genuinely believe we would all be happier and less stressed (and leave on time a lot more often) if we just checked our stuff. And to forestall the "you must not have anything valuable in there" argument you can rest assured that isn't even remotely true.
