I recently booked an unreserved award for WAS-ALB and received tickets for WAS-NYP-ALB-NYP-WAS. I'd expect a similar situation for you. Keep in mind that your Guest Rewards number is printed on the award tickets, so that revenue management could eventually detect and attribute the out-of-sequence usage. That said, the reality is that it's highly, highly unlikely that they'd make the effort to harrass you.

I used to do this sort of thing all the time in college, but I can't get myself to do it nowadays. Perhaps I'm just ethically hypersensitive now...
